Robert William Hobgood, 73, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on February 13, 2023.
Born on November 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert Harvey Hobgood and the late Bonnie Pauline Lanham Hobgood.
Survivors include his two sisters, Judy (Terry) Blackwelder and Linda (Mitchell) Nelson; niece, Monika (Jarrod) Welchel and their son Preston Welchel; niece, Natalie (Harvel) Biggs and their son Ezra Biggs; niece, Meredith Raines and her children Bethany Raines and Dawson Raines; and special friend, Nancy Johnson.
Robert loved to ride his Harley motorcycle and would often be seen cruising around with his friends. Robert was a U.S. Naval Reserve veteran who served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. He enjoyed going bass fishing, and when Robert was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, he would take fresh shrimp to Georgia for his family.
The family will be having a Graveside Service at Sunset Memory Gardens on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Kenny Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow after the service.
