Robert Ewing Jolly, 85, of Kingston, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 28, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.
Born on May 26, 1936 in Cartersville, Georgia, he is the son of the late Robert Frank Jolly Jr. and the late Romie Eugenia Milam Jolly.
Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Louise Ivanelle Etheridge Jolly; his daughter Robbie Pierce and her husband William; son Frank Jolly and his fiancé Elli Heaton; sister Genie Certain; and several nieces and nephews; and one, who was like a daughter, Briar Evans Aicher.
He was a devoted husband and father. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 29 years of service. After retirement you could always find him out somewhere on his tractor. He loved farming and was the 5th generation that lived on his family farm. He loved old cars and enjoyed going to car shows. He loved spending time with his family and friends and always made everyone who visited feel welcome at Jolly Homestead. He also loved his church family at Peeple's Valley Community Church and hosting church events at his farm. He is remembered by his children as a father they could go to at any time and receive unconditional love and support and was always there for every event in their lives both big and small. His children are also grateful to have had a father who raised them to love the Lord.
The family wants to thank all the caregivers and Tapestry Hospice for the loving care they provided. Thanks also to all the friends and family who reached out to him, prayed for him or visited him during his illness.
