Robert Long

Mr. Robert Lee Long, age 81, of Cartersville, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. He was born February 7, 1935, the son of the late Annie Cowart and Dallas T. Long.
Mr. Long was of the Baptist faith and a veteran, having served his country in the United States Army. He was retired from Goodyear. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lula Blackmon Long; and his sisters, Jean Long Morgan and Nancy Ann Long.
Survivors include his sisters, Lois Long of Cartersville, Evelyn Long Walker (Clifton) of Cartersville, Joyce Long Glass (Harley) of Acworth, and Martha Long Lowery (Terry) of Kennesaw; his brothers, Dallas Long of Cartersville and Griffin Long (Charlene) of Cartersville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be set at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2nd, 2017 at the funeral home.
