Robert Rogers, Jr.

Robert �Franklin� Rogers, Jr., 44, of Rome, died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Heartland Hospice Center in Rome. Born in Floyd County on April 1, 1964, he was the son of Mary Lindsey Rogers and the late Robert Franklin Rogers. He was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and was a welder by trade. He enjoyed baking cakes, canning, cooking, all types of racing and was studying to be a registered nurse. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Franklin Rogers; his daughter, Heather Rogers; and his step-father, Billy Boston.



Survivors include his wife, Jane Rogers of Rome; his son, Bobby Rogers of Bradenton, Florida; his step-son, Michael Smith of Cedartown; his step-daughter, Amanda Cordle of Rome; his mother, Mary Boston of Cartersville; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Harvey Templeton of Cartersville; Jeanne Rogers of Cartersville; Jennifer and Robert Guyton of Cartersville; his grandson, Riley Walker of Rome; a step-brother, Derrick Boston and his wife, Kathleen of Cartersville; a step-sister, Denise Wood and her husband, Jim of Cedartown.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., September 8, 2008 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Donald Lindsey and Rev. Bill Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 6 � 9 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
