Mr. Robert Silvers, 58, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at his residence. A native of Bartow County, born September 14, 1953, he was the son of Murl Silvers and Mildred Bell Silvers. He is preceded in death by one brother, David Silvers.
Robert was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and the Cartersville Elks Lodge. He had been employed by Georgia Power for thirty five years. His wife, Evonda was his life, along with his golf and work.
Survivors include his wife, Evonda Rader Silvers; his step-children, Felicia Liou and husband Wen, Michelle Smith and Dustin Smith, and Amanda S.; his parents, Murl and Mildred Silvers; his siblings, Danny Silvers and wife, Carol, Dennis Silvers and wife, Trish, Marvin Silvers, Patsy Wilson, Brenda Gossett and husband, Danny, Vickie Collum and husband, Donald, Gail Edwards and husband, Larry, and Tammy Craig and husband, Rodney; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Ruby Rader.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Ralph Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris McClure, Sherlock Holmes, Carl McClendon, James West, Bill Davis and Charlie Wright. Eldon Watts, Bobby Wade, Earl Rader and Ken Quick will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
