Robert West

Mr. Robert Earl West, Sr., 83, of Taylorsville, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his residence.

Born January 10, 1931 in Kingston, he was a son of the late Green West and the late Rosa Millsap West. Mr. West was of the Baptist Faith and was the owner & operator of Valley View Mobile Home Park. He enjoyed traveling and going to the mountains. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Joan Tilley West; his brothers, George West and Raymond West; and sisters, Eva Price and Pauline Hyde.

Survivors include his son, Earl West and his wife Donna of Taylorsville; daughters, Mary Ann Jenkins and her husband Marshall, and Judy Powell and her husband Melvin, all of Taylorsville; sister, Frances young of Kingston; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend C. E. Wilkey officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Eric West, Kim Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, Tyler Vanhook, Labron Jenkins, and Corey Thacker.
