Robin Smith

Robin Elaine Smith, 53, of Kingston, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her residence. Born in Sylacauga, Alabama on August 28, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Murphy Robertson and Betty Ann Bearce. Robin was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a selfless person, had a huge heart, love growing flowers and was a fantastic cook. During her children's school years, she was always involved as a "grade mother". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, James Brownlow; four brothers, Murphy Robertson, Jr., Tommy, Ronnie and Davy Joe (Skeeter) Robertson. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert E. Smith of Kingston; her daughters, Lena Elaine Mears and husband, Robert of Kingston and Melissa Buttram and husband, Jason of Calhoun; her son, Jason Smith of Kingston; her sisters, Jean Lingerfelt and husband, Robert of Cassville, Kay Taylor of Cartersville, Cathy Parker and husband, Mike of Emerson and Lena Hames and husband, DC of Alabama; her grandchildren, Skyllar Mears, Andrew Buttram, Blake Smith, Dakota Buttram and Patrick Smith. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Eddie Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Kingston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Smith, Ronnie Goss, Joshua Woods, Dustin Smith, Jason Serrell and Hayse McCormick.
