Roger Griffin

April 19, 1963 — July 30, 2012

Mr. Roger K. Griffin, 49, of Dunwoody, died suddenly, Monday, July 30, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Born April 19, 1963 in Bellville, Illinois, he was the son of Raymond R. Griffin and the late Rose Britt Griffin. Mr. Griffin was of the Catholic Faith and served our country in the United States Army. He was an OR Tech at Perimeter Orthopaedics.

Survivors include his father, Raymond R. Griffin of Cartersville; brother, Raymond D. Griffin of Calgary, Canada; sister, Ilene Culp and her husband Eric of White; nephews, Stephen Griffin and Dylan Culp; and one niece, Breanna Culp.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Dan Stack officiating. Mr. Griffin will lie in state at the church from 10:30 until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Rome. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

The family suggests that those who wish may make donations to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 850 Douthit Ferry Road, SE, Cartersville, GA 30120 in memory of Mr. Griffin.
