Reverend Ronald Elmore Carver, 69, of White, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta. Born in Dayton, Tennessee on August 15, 1946, he was the son of the late Reverend Leroy Carver and Etta Mae Mobley Carver.
Rev. Carver had a Bachelor of Christian Education with a minor in music. He was a member of The Church at Liberty Square. Rev. Carver was previously employed as the minister of The Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee before retiring. He was also an avid golfer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Elaine Clayton Carver; his sister, Barbara Grant; and his brother, David Carver.
Survivors include his children, Stephanie Carver Hughes and husband, Richie of Cleveland, Tennessee and Richard Scott Carver and wife, Jennifer of Canton; his grandchildren, Halle Hughes, Kaleigh Hughes, Rachel Carver, Rebecca Carver, Christian Carver, Andrew Carver, Matthew Carver and Aaron Carver; his sister, Lona Harrell of Tullahoma, Tennessee; his brothers, George Carver of Fairfax, Virginia and Glenn Carver, Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida; his sister-in-law, Lois Chavers of Albany, Georgia; and a brother-in-law, Charles Clayton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Church at Liberty Square with Dr. Joe E. Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Reverend Carver will be taken to the church on Wednesday where he will lie-in-state for one hour prior to the service.
