Ronald Otting

Mr. Ronald Otting, 80, of Cartersville passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at Floyd Medical Center. Ronald was a native of Bartow County born on June 10, 1930 and was the son of the late C.C. Otting and the late Annie Mae Yarbrough Otting.

Ronald was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was retired from Lockheed Martin after 38 years of service. He served as a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church for many years, was a veteran having served in the United States Army and a Mason for over 50 years. He attended the retired Men�s Group and enjoyed activities with the Seniors on a weekly basis. Making model airplanes was one of his favorite past times.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Helen Otting; his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Allen Evans of Cartersville, Becky and Robby Roberts of Rydal and Pam Turner and Darryl Dover of Fairmount; his grandchildren , Kara Dillard, Amberly Ivester, Kip Evans and Alex and Justin Turner; his great-grandchildren, Megan Dillard, Tucker Ivester and Bella Turner; his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Charles Allred of Cartersville; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23th in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Parnick Jennings, Jr. and Jim Gundlah officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with full Masonic Rites.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. and will include: Kip Evans, Alex Turner, Justin Turner, Tommy Dillard, Jason Ivester and Don Allred.

The family will receive friends at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home from 5 � 8 p.m. Wednesday.
