Mr. Ronnie Neal Simpson, 76, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Assured Hospice.

Born May 10, 1942 in Cartersville, he was a son of the late Herman Andrew Simpson and the late Margaret Fowler Simpson. Ronnie was a member of The Church at Liberty Square, he enjoyed being with his family and spending time outdoors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Simpson; and a brother, Wayne Simpson.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Edna N. Simpson; son, Marty Simpson and his wife Christy of Adairsville; daughter, Lori Hight and her husband, Adam of Cartersville; sisters, Janette Mundy of Cartersville, Joyce Duck of Dallas, Brenda Melton of Cartersville, and Linda McFarland, also of Cartersville; grandchildren, Jacob Simpson, Grace Jarnagin, Drew Simpson, Ansley Hight, Andrew Buttram, and Lucas Simpson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in The Church at Liberty Square with The Reverend Danny May and The Reverend Dr. Jacob King officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
