Ronny Ray

Ronald "Ronny" Dean Ray, 69 of Rydal passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on December 3, 1950 he was the son of the late Charlie Ray and the late Gladys Cornwell Ray. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Louise Moss, and Dimple DeBord.

Ronny served his country in the National Guard and later had a successful career as a barber for over 51 years, having worked at Professional Barbers and owned The Hair Center and Kustom Kuts.

Survivors include his soulmate, Katie Erickson; his son, Jeremy Ray (Jennifer); his beloved grandchildren, Peyton Ray, and Presley Ray; his siblings, twin brother, Donny Ray (Evelyn), Betty Smith (Hugh Lee), and Roy Ray (Audrey); and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

A graveside service, for immediate family only, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Pine Log United Methodist Church with Reverend James Surratt officiating. Out of an abundance of caution, due to Covid-19, extended family and friends wishing to show their respect to the family may attend a drive through visitation from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the church, prior to the service.
