Roy Evans

Roy Franklin Evans, 77, of Cartersville passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on March 13, 1943 in Gordon County, he was the son of the late Raymond Evans and Ruby Walraven Evans. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Annie Jo Wilson and Margie Givens and his brothers Charles Evans, Mack Evans, and Ernest Evans.

Roy was a successful business owner of Mid-Supply Co. Inc. for 48 years; he absolutely loved his job and customers. Roy cherished and adored his family and friends. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed sports and watching his grandsons play baseball. Roy looked forward to playing gin rummy every Tuesday night with his friends. He attended church at Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord, his church family and going to Sunday school.

Roy is survived by his daughter Jada Renee' Dean and his son Michael Evans; grandsons Gage Morris and Grayson Dean; brothers James (Christa) Evans, Miller (Linda Gayle) Evans; sister Millie (Al) Pallone; his beloved friend Faye Floyd; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 10, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. His service will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Clinton Green officiating. Serving as pall bearers will be Marcus Elzey, Michael Elzey Sr., James Evans, Michael Floyd, Randall Kirkland, Mason Lee, Gage Morris and Al Pallone. Honorary Pall Bearers are Michael Elzey Jr., Sprite Holland, Joe Jolly, Chandler Kelly, B.R. Roberts, Steve Sheffield, Ricky Stepp and Bobby Womack.
