Mr. Roy Anthony �Tony� Fowler, age 58, of Dallas, GA died Tuesday, October 13, 2009.
Mr. Fowler was born in Pickens County, GA on December 20, 1950, the son of the late Clyde Fowler and Elaine Padgett Fowler. Mr. Fowler was a 1968 graduate of East Rome High School and a 1972 graduate of of Berry College. He was employed as assistant manager of sales at Woodstock Furniture. Tony was an avid golfer and enjoyed sports of all types. He enjoyed playing music trivia and listening to Classic Rock. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist. He was a loving husband, father and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Ward Fowler, to whom he was married, November 22, 1978; son Dereck Bryant and wife Lori of Rome, GA; daughter, Vonceil Cook and husband Rick of Stapleton, GA; sister, Peggy Baker and husband Alfred of Rome, GA; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Tracey and Wayne Farr, James and Rita Goddard, Kevin and Kathy Kerce, Michelle and Jon Gregg, Zack Sorentino, Jeff and Karen Baker, Joe and Donna Baker, J�May and Todd Beam, Jeannine and Wes Brock, and his best friend Rev. Steve Griggers also survive.
Gaveside and interment services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in Floyd Memory Gardens with Rev. Steve Griggers officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 A.M: Jeff Baker, Joe Baker, Chris Padgett, Scott Padgett, Kevin Kerce, James Goddard and Zack Sorentino.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Wellstar Tranquility Hospice, Wellstar Foundation, 2000 South Park Place, Atlanta, GA. 30339
