Mrs. Ruby Lee James, 76, of Cartersville, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 28, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Pickens County, November 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Hallie Ray and the late Bertha Bowling Ray. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry A. James; and a brother, George Ray.
Ruby was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her nephews, Tommy Ray and wife, Rena of Cartersville and Kenneth Ray and wife, Donna of Adairsville; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Frances Garmon, Gloria James, Vera James all of Cartersville, Gail and T.E. Dyer of Alabama, and David and Joyce James of Cartersville; her special nieces, Connie Keeling and husband Bryan, Martha Stone and husband, Jimmy all of Cartersville and April Noble and husband Scott of Tennessee; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Josh James officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin, Keith, Jason, Daniel, Kaland and Brenton Ray. Keith James and Scott Noble will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
