Ruby Kerce

Mrs. Ruby Jewell Momon Kerce, age 87, formerly of 219 Lucky Street, Cartersville, now of 1780 Old Hwy 41, Kennesaw, GA, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, in a nursing home.

Mrs. Kerce was born in Floyd County, GA, on December 2, 1919, the daughter of the late Jess M. and Emma Lou Bennett Momon. She spent most of her life in Floyd County and was a member of Blackwood Springs Baptist Church in Gordon County. Mrs. Kerce was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents Mrs. Kerce is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Sampson Kerce.

Mrs. Kerce is survived by a daughter, Edith Watters of Newnan, GA; a son, Rev. William H. Camp of Marietta, GA; a brother and sisters-in-law, Joe and Loraine Momon of Rome, Audrey Momon of LaGrange, GA and Lillian Momon of Rome, GA; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with a son, Dr. William H. Camp officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Kerce will remain in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M.
