Ruby Rader

Ruby Lee Rader, 89, of Cartersville, Georgia, was called home on November 16, 2023.

She was born on July 9, 1934, in Rockcastle, Kentucky to the late Stanley Allen and the late Bertle Allen. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Earl Rader; and sister, Imojean Allen.

Ruby is survived by her son, Harold Rader (Vicki); daughter, Evonda silvers (Arvis Messer); grandchildren, Kelly Rader (Tellus Demos), Hali Rader, Derek Rader, Felicia Liou (Wen), Michelle Hegerty (Matt), and Dustin Smith; great grandchildren, Kalin Liou, Henry Earl Demos, William Warmoth, Nora Jane Lacy, and Graham Hegerty; brother-in-law, Emanuel Rader; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby loved The Lord. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a Mamaw to anyone who met her. Ruby will be greatly missed, but we know she is in heaven dancing with Earl.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home chapel with Reverend David Baker and Reverend Roger Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home prior to the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Georgia National Cemetery

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Sharpton, Jerry Knight, Johnny Hale, Marc Lockwood, Blake Lockwood, and George Robinson.
