Mrs. Ruby Morgan St. Clair age 93, of Rome, GA, died Friday, December 10, 2010.



Mrs. St. Clair was born in Cherokee County, AL, on December 26, 1916, the daughter of the late Charles Elexander Morgan and Alice Helms Morgan. She was a member of Sand Rock Baptist Church in Sand Rock, AL. She loved her grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, and was a very hard worker and retired in 1967 after 15 years at Champion Garments and then helped her husband and son Travis in restoring antique furniture from 1970 until 2001. In addition to her parents, Mrs. St. Clair was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Travis St. Clair and a son, Charles Travis St. Clair; a granddaughter, Lisa St. Clair Culpepper; four brothers, Harvey Morgan, Walter Morgan, Bill Morgan, and Edgar Morgan and a sister, Nettie Wester.



Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Judy Elaine St. Clair of Rome; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Ted Norris of Rome and Lucy and Tommy Young of Rome; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eunice Canada of Rome; and a special niece, Maxine Morgan St. Clair of Rome. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel with Dr. Tony Brooks and Rev. Katrina Brooks officiating. Interment to follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour in the Oaknoll Chapel.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel by 2:30 P.M. : Todd Fannin, Keith Buck, Keith Atkinson, Steve St. Clair, Morgan Johnson, and Zachary Atkinson. The honorary pallbearers will be Mason and Makade Johnson.



Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer�s Association, Georgia Chapter, North Georgia Regional Office, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA 30721.
