Ruby Sutton

Ruby Elizabeth Sutton, 92, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Cartersville Heights Nursing Home. Born July 31, 1916 in Adairsville, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Calvin Sutton and the late Julia Yates Sutton. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Rembert Sutton, Marcus Sutton, Vernie Lee Sutton, Sherman Sutton, and Jesse Buford Sutton.



Ruby was a member of Northside Methodist Church and was known for being kind hearted and humble. She never thought of herself and always had a positive outlook on life. Ruby�s family was her number one priority, and she loved and treated everyone equally. Ruby�s love was singing her favorite gospel songs which she said was her testimony. She had sung at her church and at many churches all around Bartow County all her life.



Survivors include her niece, Julia Greenway, of Cartersville; her nephews, Jerry Sutton, Larry Sutton of Redding, California, and Harrilyn Sutton of Villa Rica; several great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and many friends.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mr. Parnick Jennings Jr. and Mr. Glenn Wimpy officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
