Ruby Lee Williams passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at a local nursing facility.
Ruby was born July 29, 1936, to the late Smiley S. Williams and Exie Kilgore Williams. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and a sister-in-law Junior and Betty Williams, Horace Williams, and John Williams, as well as her nieces and nephews Deborah Jo Williams, Gail Chapman, Steve Williams, Cindy Williams, Preslie Williams, and Cooper Williams.
Ruby was an active member of Connesena Baptist Church until her health declined. She was employed for many years at Cartersville Undergarment Company. Aunt Ruby loved all her children and loved her nieces and nephews as 'her' children. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and their families, sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends.
A graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11:00 am at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, 1810 Euharlee Road Kingston, GA 30145. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Williams. Serving as pallbearers will be Jefferey Williams, Don Williams, Randall Williams, Heath Williams, Gavin Williams, Tony Williams, and Brandon Bulthuis. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made in Ruby's honor to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
