Rufus Croy

Mr. Rufus Croy, 83, of Cartersville, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at Floyd Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, born August 6, 1930, he was the son of the late Rueben Croy and the late Alice Barrett Croy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Hutchins Croy; his siblings, Joe Croy, Emma Jane Blackmon, Thomas Earl Croy and Robert Croy; and a brother-in-law, Lamar Waits. Mr. Croy was a dairy farmer and employed by Mack Tilley Dairies before retirement. He loved his family very much. He enjoyed gardening and giving vegetables to everyone.
Survivors include his brothers and sister-in-law, Gene and Wilma Croy of Cartersville and David and Glenda Croy of Kingston; his sisters and brother-in-law, Marie and Buddy Jenkins and Ann Ruth Waits all of Cartersville; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Larry Huskins officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
