Russell Wathey, Jr.

Mr. Russell Edward �Bubba� Whatley, Jr., 32, of Cartersville died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in San Bernardino, California, September 14, 1979, and was the son of James Edward Whatley, sr. and Carol Coulter Wathley.

Russell or �Bubba�, as he was known to his family and friends, was employed by Advanced Steel Tech as a steel worker. He was a veteran having served from 1998 � 2006 in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his parents; his grandmother, Rose Wathey; his aunts, Patricia Varner, Jacqueline Pate and Joann Reilly; and his uncle Joseph Coulter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., October 26, 2011 at the First Assembly of God with Brother Keith Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
