Ruth Alderson

Mrs. Ruth Celeste Alderson, 82, of Cartersville died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Kathy Cares Hospice. She was born April 12, 1931 in Morganfield, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Henry Lee Whittaker, Sr. and the late Katherine Riddle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence James Blair, Sr.; her second husband, Johnny Alderson; her son, Gerald Lee Blair; and her brother, Leslie Roof. Mrs. Alderson was retired from AT&T.
Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Schuh, Clarissa "Chris" Buchanan and her husband, Barry, and Paula Arnett and her husband, Joe; her sons, Clarence James Blair, Jr. and his wife, Jimmie and Roger Blair; her brother, Henry Whittaker; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, 629 South Green Street, Henderson, Kentucky. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon at the funeral home.
