Ruth Mae Dillard, age 80,of Cartersville died Wednesday, April 15,2009 at Heartland Hospice House. Born May 8,1928 in Cobb County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Harkins. She is preceded in death by her husband,Thomas Eugene Dillard, Sr.
Survivors include her children,Betty Jones and her husband,Jimmy of McDonough, Ga.,Lamar Hartman of Hogansville,Ga.and Jimmy Hartman of McDonough,Ga.; her step-son, Thomas Dillard; her step-daughter,Karen Caldwell; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m.on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Rev.Joe Nix officiating.
The family will receive friends at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville on Friday from 10 - 11:30 a.m.
