Ruth Henson

Mrs. Ruth M. Henson, 89, of Cartersville passed away, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at her residence. Born in Ellijay on May 22, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Garland and the late Florence Holt Garland. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George W. Henson and one son, William Henson.



Mrs. Henson was a member of River Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. She enjoyed traveling and cooking.



Survivors include her daughter, Geraldine Dawkins; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.



Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Cowart officiating.



The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
