Sammy Boswell

Mr. Samuel H."Sammy" Boswell, age 35, of 408 Strand Street, Rome, GA, died Monday, March 27, 2006, in his home.A native of Rome and Floyd County, Sammy was born on July 13, 1970 to Mrs. Carolyn Austin Boswell and Mr. Steven Ollie Boswell. He was big hearted, loving with a great sense of humor and had a strong will to live. Sammy's caring and good natured character was based on Church of God values. For a short time, Sammy was associated with Bagby Transfer Company as helper. He enjoyed building car and truck models and taking car of his mom. Sammy is loved and will be missed dearly.Sammy is survived by his mother, Carolyn A. Boswell of Rome; a sister, brother-in-law and niece, Christie and Curtis (and their daughter, Heather) Chapman of Rome; two aunts, uncle and close cousins, Peggy and Jerry Pledger, Shad and Stacey Pledger(and their children, Cassie Knowles and Dylon Pledger), Brandon Pledger and his daughter, Alexis Pledger of Lindale, GA; and Cricket Reese of Alabama; a brother and sister, John H. Boswell, who is currently serving in the United States Army in Iraq, and Melissa Boswell Robinson of Alabama.Graveside and interment services for Sammy Boswell will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 2 PM in the East View Cemetery with eulogy given by Willard Robershaw.The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 29, 2006 from morning until 7 PM at the home that Sammy shared with his mother, Carolyn Boswell, 408 Strand Street, Rome, GA.The Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements for Mr. Samuel H. "Sammy" Boswell.
