Sammy Doyle Wade, age 61, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Sammy was born on October 6, 1962, to the late Doyle & Betty Mae Wade in Rome, Georgia. He is also preceded in death by his grandchildren Dakota Gage Hibberts and Sammy Christopher Lamar Maples Jr.; his brother James Wade; and his sisters Gail Wade and Teresa Wade.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jan Wade; his children Christopher Maples and Jessica Akins (Bobby); his brother Michael Wade (Cheri); his grandchildren Alisha Maples, Miles Akins, and Natalie Akins; a very special friend Susan White; as well as several extended family members.
Sammy passed away too young but for the time he was here, he lived a charmed life. He was rambunctious as a child and bounced back from many challenges as an adult. He loved children, was a collector of firearms and flashlights, and enjoyed playing Keno. He would play for hours on end and his family loved teasing him about always losing all of his play money. He is very loved and will be missed dearly.
Sammy's family will be hosting a Celebration of Life which will be announced at a later date.
