Samuel Bozeman

Mr. Samuel "Alan" Bozeman, age 70, of 6895 Blacks Bluff Road, Cave Spring, GA, died Tuesday morning, August 30, 2005, in a local hospital.Mr. Bozeman was born in Rome and Floyd County on April 11, 1935, to the late Arthur Lee Bozeman and Lollie B. Satcher Bozeman. Being a Polio survivor he worked hard to be independent and strong. Straight out of high school Mr. Bozeman began working for Fricks Brothers Furniture and after 48 years of service finally retired in 2002. He was baptized in and a member of Grace Bible Baptist Church. Mr. Bozeman was a loyal Braves fan and loving grandfather. He is remembered for his giving nature, strength, independence, and loving heart. Mr. Bozeman was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wade Bozeman.Mr. Bozeman is survived by two sons, Greg Bozeman of Adairsville, GA, Samuel Bozeman of Cave Spring; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Roy Campbell of Rome, GA; five grandchildren, Corey and Seria Evans of Rome, Dustey Bozeman of Cedartown, GA, Ashleigh Bozeman of Shannon, GA, and Howie Norris of Calhoun, GA; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Alfred Lee Bozeman of Marietta, GA, Earl and Faye Bozeman of Dallas, GA, Lamar and Margaret Bozeman of Marietta, Wayne Bozeman of Cave Spring, and Glynn Randolph Bozeman of Marietta; a sister, Jo Adair of Kingston, GA; and the mother of his children, Barbara Bozeman Wages of Calhoun. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral Services for Mr. Bozeman will be held Thursday, September 1, 2005 in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home at 2 PM. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, GA.The family will receive friends this (Wednesday) evening from 7 until 9 PM in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home. Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 PM on Thursday and include: Roy Campbell, Wayne Bozeman, Greg Bozeman, Sam Bozeman, Ben Norris, and Corey Evans.The Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements of Mr. Samuel Alan Bozeman.
