Sara Elizabeth Kelley (Humphries)

Mrs. Sara Elizabeth Humphries Kelley passed away June 9, 2024 at the age of 94.  She was born June 4, 1930 in Norcross, GA.

Mrs. Kelley was a long time member of New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA. She was also a member of the Officer's Wives Club at Fort Gillem where she spent many hours volunteering at blood drives for the Red Cross and in the Fort Gillem Thrift Store.  In her spare time, Mrs. Kelley enjoyed reading, gardening, and riding her bike.

Mrs. Kelley is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Mr. Johnny W. Kelley, and her parents Mr. Hugh J. Humphries and  Mrs. Merle Cates Humphries.

Survivors include her sons John W. Kelley and wife Carolyn Annette, Michael Kelley and wife Shawn; and daughter Karen Elaine LaSalata; grandchildren Matthew & Lisa Kelley, Sara & Dusty Bright, Andrea & John Schwarz, Shane & Sally Anne Short, Kelly & Tammy Short, and Ashley & Lee Holt; and numerous great grandchildren; sister Beverly Kelso.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.
