Sara Elizabeth Tant

Sara Elizabeth Tant of Cartersville, went to meet with her Lord on April 1, 2026.

She was born on October 29, 1952, in Adairsville and was the daughter of the late Albert Roland and Annie Bell Freeman Roland. Sara, was also known by her family as "Lillie" or "Nanny". She enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives, cooking, getting together with her family, quilting and most of all spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Janelle Hall, Patricia Slagle, Bobbie Sue Chapman, Geraldine Tant, and Mattie Lou Waters and her brothers Eddie, Harold, and Ronnie Roland. She was also preceded in death by her son Albert "Chuck" Roland and his wife Donna Roland.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Randall Tant; daughters, Elaine Cornett, Melissa Tant (Brandon Carver); son, Michael John Roland; her grandchildren Kaitlin Cornett (known as #1), Kelsey Cornett (Cody Fuller), and Breanna Roland; one great grandson Asher Fuller; one great granddaughter Kailyn Elizabeth; sister, Jenny Earwood; brothers-in-law Harvey Tant and Alvin Tant; sister-in-law Mamie Jo-Roland; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Carver, Billy Joe Tant, Michael Tant, Kenneth Tant, Daniel Carver, and Cody Fuller.
