Sarah Frances Dill, age 91, of Rome, GA, and formerly of Punta Gorda, FL died Thursday, May 25, 2006.Mrs. Dill was born in Floyd County, GA on May 7, 1915, the daughter of Meddie Berry and Minnie Lee (Lumpkin) Broach. She was raised in Rome, GA and in 1961 moved to Punta Gorda, FL for forty-two years. Mrs. Dill was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Rome, GA and was a homemaker. She was very well loved and a very inspirational lady. Mrs. Dill enjoyed writing songs and poems, reading her Bible, and loved to cook. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dill was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Clinton Dill, whom she married in 1933; and two brothers, Henry Murchison and James Broach.She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sheilah Dill of Rome, Ga; Don and Carol Dill of Fort Myers, FL; Glenn and Ann Dill of Punta Gorda, FL and David Dill of Punta Gorda; two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Jack Kellett of Rome, GA and Glenda and Danny Cope of Blairsville, GA; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Sue Broach of Shannon, GA; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carrie Lee and Jesse Culpepper and Louise Quick all of Punta Gorda; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6pm till 8 pm Tuesday May 30, 2006 at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda. Visitation continues on Wednesday, May 31, from 12 noon till the funeral service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and nephews will serve as Pallbearers and include; Wayne Quick, Doug Quick, Gary Kellett, Greg Kellett, Jason Dill and Russell Tompkins.
