Sarah Hess

Mrs. Sarah Alma Hess, 85, of Cartersville, died Friday, October 26, 2018 at her residence. Born February 21, 1933 in Cassville, she was the daughter of the late Henry King Gwinn and Lelia Lou Gwinn. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Adkins Hess, Jr.

Mrs. Hess was retired from E.Z. Mills / Spring Mills, where she worked as a machine operator for 20 years. She enjoyed baking, and solving crossword puzzles. She was a member of Cassville Baptist Church and loved the Lord.

Survivors include her two daughters, Elaine Hess of Cartersville and Sherry Hardie (Frankie) of Cartersville; her son, Dennis Hess (Cathy) of Carrollton; 9 grandchildren, including her special granddaughter and caregiver for the last 5 years, Shenna Shepherd; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery.
