Mrs. Sarah Ann King, age 77, of 16 Ford Road, Rome, GA, died Saturday morning, April 24, 2004, in a local hospital.Mrs. King was born in Moultrie, GA, on May 10, 1926 and had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County for the greater part of her life. She was a homemaker who enjoyed singing and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Cleveland Lewis and Lillian Gertrude Walraven Lewis.Mrs. King is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sheryll Williamson, and Barbara and Johnny Wilson, all of Rome; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jack Vines of Rome, Larry and Barbara King of Bridge City, TX, Billy King of Seattle, WA, and Johnny and Vel King of Humble, TX; five sisters, Jean Robbins of Rome, Mary (Bob) Rogers of Rome, Wilma Hearn of Beaumont, TX, Mavis Lee of Clearwater, FL, and Janice (Harlow) Davis of Caseville, MI; one brother, Johnny (Joyce)Roland of Rome. Twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.Graveside and interment services for Mrs. King will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Skates officiating.
