Sgt. Retired Gerald Fauntleroy Erambert III, 59, of Cartersville, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Olney, Illinois on June 19, 1955, he was the son of the late Gerald Fauntleroy Erambert, II and Montene Fay Johnson Erambert.
Sgt. Retired Gerald Erambert was a veteran, having served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a missile warning and space surveillance sensor radar specialists. He was a big man with a heart of gold, a people person and protector of those less fortunate. Mr. Erambert wanted to make everyone around him feel safe and loved. He knew no strangers. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Dolores Erambert and his son, Neil Henderson.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Janet Kimmell Erambert of Cartersville; his children, Gerald Fauntleroy Erambert IV, Adrian and Jeremy Fielding, Sara and Robert Cardwell and Martha E. Erambert; his grandchildren, Gavin and Addison Fielding, Cheyenne, Neil and James Henderson, Wade and Reagan Ellzey and Bailey Haigler; his siblings, Eugenia Fadley, of Longwood, Florida and Erman Erambert of Ocala, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews including Michelle Hebbeler and Gerald Erambert;
