Ms. Sharon Chapman, 63, of Cartersville died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Gary, Indiana December 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Mary T. Stone. Preceding her in death are parents and her grandson, Phillip Gabriel Milton.
Sharon was a former Vice-President of the C&S Bank and was the first female to hold that position. She later retired from Massey Services as a bookkeeper. Casino trips to Mississippi, volunteering with the Coast Guard and traveling the Tennessee River in a house boat was a few of the things that gave Mrs. Chapman a lot of enjoyment.
Survivors include her daughter, Shawn Ann Duran Hunsucker of Cartersville; her grandson and his wife, Robert "B.J." and Kayla Hall of Cartersville; her brothers, Charlies Stone of Acworth, Donald Stone of Plant City, Florida, David Stone of Plant City, FL., Wylie Stone of Chamblee, John Stone of Plant City, Fl., and several nieces and nephews.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements for Ms. Sharon Chapman.
