Sharon Buford Redd, age 72, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Born on June 14, 1953, in the charming city of Savannah, Georgia, Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
A devoted homemaker, Sharon dedicated her life to her family, creating a loving and nurturing environment that will be cherished by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Junior Buford and Ruth Wilson Buford, whose memory she held dear throughout her life.
Surviving to cherish Sharon’s memory are her devoted husband, Dean Redd; her children, Shane Hornbuckle, Tammy Wilkie, Howell Jordan, and Sandra Redd; as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom were constant sources of joy for her. Sharon was happiest when surrounded by her family. A true homebody, she found endless joy in the companionship of her loyal dogs, who were always by her side.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. A celebration of Sharon’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, with Reverend Patrick Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens where her sons and grandsons will honor her by serving as pallbearers, proudly carrying her to her final resting place.
Arrangements are entrusted to Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, where Sharon’s presence will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
