Sharron Bohannon

Sharron Gail Bohannon, 69, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on May 31st.

Sharron was born on November 25, 1950 in Muskogee Oklahoma. She was a beloved wife to David for 48 years. She was a devoted employee of the Cobb County School System for 22 years. Sharron was described by many as a "bonus mother," as she loved all of her nieces and nephews as her own children. She had a love of fishing, gardening, bird watching and trying her hand in the casino, on the bingo bus or in the game rooms. More than anything, Sharron had an immense love for family and friends that shined brightest when she was cooking for a big crowd. She made sure no belly was left hungry.

Sharron is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Clyde Black.

Sharron is survived by husband, David Bohannon of Cartersville; sisters, Debbie Clackum of Acworth, Karen Haygood of Calhoun, Denise Taylor of Acworth, Terry Shields of Cartersville, and Michelle Johnson of Kennesaw; brother, Gary Black of Bremen; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews on both sides.

Due to continuing Covid restrictions a visitation limited to 25 people at a time and social distancing will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
