Shelby Ann Jones, a cherished resident of Euharlee, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on July 29th, 1949, she became a beloved member of her community and a cornerstone for her family throughout her full life.
Shelby had a heart that knew no bounds. Whether she was cooking delicious meals for gatherings or quietly sitting on her front porch soaking in serene moments, her joyous spirit and immense love echoed through all recollections of her enriched life. Taking care of her family was her number one priority, and she expressed her devotion in creating countless, unforgettable memories for those closest to her. Shelby was also a loving pet owner of her beloved miniature poodle, Indy.
Shelby was predeceased by her beloved spouse, Blayne Jones; her parents Charles and Gladys Edwards; her son Barry Casey; and her grandparents John and Laura Headrick. She had persisted through these great personal losses, always supported by treasured memories and enriched family bonds.
Shelby is survived by her loving son Rodney Chastain from Euharlee, formally of Rome, Georgia; dear sister Gayle Knight from Rome, Georgia; devoted grandsons, Nick Casey from Utah, and Derek Casey and his wife Shelby from Missouri; her three cherished great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins whose lives she abundantly touched with warmth.
To honor Shelby, a gathering for family and friends will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to remember a life beautifully lived, sharing stories of happiness and love.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the team at Rockmart Health and Rehabilitation Center for providing their love for Shelby by way of remarkable care during her stay.
