Shelomith Wise

Shelomith Rocky Wise, 70, of Cartersville died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at his residence. Born February 16, 1939 in Copperhill, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Leonard Wise. He was also preceded in death by his brother, David Wise; and his sister, Winona Shearer.



Rocky was an outdoorsman who loved nature, hunting, fishing, traveling, and hiking. He was employed as a contactor and remodeler.



Survivors include his children, John Wise, Susan Watts, and Brenda Starnes and her husband, Billy, all of Cartersville; his mother, Geneva Green; his brother, Douglas Wise of Cleveland, Tennessee; his former wife, Joyce Wise Wilson; sisters, Omega Hughes of Ducktown, Tennessee, Juanita Donalson of Austell, Alfrata Anderson of Ellijay, Wanda Anderson of Cleveland, Tennessee, Martha Cantrell of Athens, Tennessee, Mary Cronin, Darlene Stone of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Marlene Wise of Cleveland, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.



Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Marietta Campground Cemetery with the Mr. Larry Williams officiating.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
