Sheryl Tant, 55, of Cartersville died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center.
A native of Bartow County, she was born May 29, 1959, the daughter of the late Wilson Barnette and Betty Joyce Howren Amos. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Jimmy Amos and a sister, Sue Barnette Roland. She was of the Baptist faith. Sheryl was a good person with an outgoing personality.
Survivors include her daughter, Natasha Ray and husband, Keith; her granddaughters, Heather Gentry and Katie Tant; her great-grandson Greyson Gentry; her sister, Theresa East; her brothers, James Barnette and wife, Donna, Billy Amos, John Amos and wife Debra, Sammy, Scotty and Shane Amos; her half-brothers, Ronnie, Ricky, and Donnie Barnette and wife, Patricia; along with several nieces and nephews.
