Mrs. Shirley Laverne Brown, 71, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on January 31, 2025, at her home.
Born in Camden, South Carolina on January 25, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Brown and the late Katie Howard Brown. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Elhasbashy.
Shirley was a hard worker who spent over twenty years working for Blue Cross Blue Shield and went on to spend over twenty more years working for Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta. She was generous and devoted to her community, and everyone who knew her loved her. Shirley was a great mother who loved Jesus and her family above all else.
Survivors include her husband, James S. Brown; her sons, Justin Brown (Juanita), and Myles Brown; her brothers, Bernard Brown, and Jonathan Knox; and her sister, Anissa Knox.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
