Shirley Evans

Shirley Ann Evans, 74, of Euharlee, Georgia, sadly passed away on April 12, 2022.

Born on March 7, 1948, Shirley was the daughter of the late James Ghorley and Mary I. Ghorley. She is also preceded in death by her brother Larry Ghorley and her stepmother Mary A. Ghorley.

Shirley was a kind and generous person who never met a stranger. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren fiercely. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, loved football (primarily the Georgia Bulldogs), and she loved to dance.

Shirley is survived by her husband Jerry A. Evans, her children; Linda Hale, Willie Evans (Kristy), Tina Langley (Stoney), Rex Evans (Connie), Mary Evans (Roger), and Tosha Evans, her grandchildren; Brianna Evans, Rex Evans Jr. Macayla Evans, Samantha Langley, Cynthia Engler, Mark Evans, Gracey Evans, Madison Evans, Lexie Hughes, and Laura Smith, her great-grandchildren Landon Priest and Lainey Priest, her brothers; Robert Donald Ghorley, Jerry Ghorley (Janice), and Robert Dewayne Ghorley, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2022 with Rev. Daniel Latham officiating.
