Shirley Henon

Shirley Ann Henon, 84, of Emerson passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at her residence.

Born on August 22, 1936, in Moundsville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Felton and the late Opal B. Garrison Felton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Ray" Henon, and her son, Robert William Henon.

Survivors include her five children and their spouses, Molly & Troyce Warren of Emerson, Helen Allmon of Cartersville, Larry & Valerie Henon of Cartersville, Billy & Dawn Henon of Cartersville, and Barbara McKeon of Cartersville; 13 grandchildren who were the "apple of her eye"; 17 great- grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.

Shirley married Raymond Henon and they were together for over 40 years. She loved old westerns and animals, especially cats. Shirley had a smile for everyone she met and was loved by many.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Donnie Whitener officiating. A private interment will follow at a later time. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the funeral home. Due to Covid-19 social distancing rules will be followed.
