Sibyl Brookshire

Mrs. Sibyl Ione Brookshire age 76, of Rome, GA, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009.



Mrs. Brookshire was born in Floyd County, GA on October 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Albert Taylor and Mattie Kerce Taylor. She retired from Galey and Lord and was a member of Wilkerson Road Baptist Church for over twenty years. In addition to her parents Mrs. Brookshire was preceded in death by her husband, Ophar Brookshire; three brothers, Lawrence Taylor, Fahy Taylor, and Harold Taylor; and a sister, Mozel Taylor.



Survivors include a son, Reina Brookshire of Rome; a granddaughter, Rebecca Brookshire of Rome; and a sister, Audrey Momon of LaGrange, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



Graveside and interment services will be held Friday, June 19, 2009, at 1:00 P.M. in the Floyd Memory Gardens with Rev. David Fincher officiating.
