Mr. Sid Hampton, 53, of Cartersville, died Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Richlands, Virginia, January 18, 1960, he was the son of Thelma Byrd Hampton and the late Closkie Hampton.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Hampton of Cartersville; his mother, Thelma Hampton of Euharlee; one son, Sidney Hampton of Waverly, VA; one daughter, Dana Hampton of Cartersville; two sisters, Charlene Easter of Euharlee and Kathy Hampton of Tazewell, VA; a brother, David Wayne Hampton of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hampton will be carried to Hurst-Scott Funeral Home, 1401 2nd Street, Richlands, Virginia, where the family will make further arrangements.
