Stella Ann Dye (Cisco), age 76, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home on February 27, 2025. Born on May 4, 1948, to Will David Sanford and Annie Spry, Stella's love for life, family, and her community touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.
Stella's greatest joy was being a mother to her three children, Robert R. Milam, Amanda R. Milam, and Misty N. Milam-Bankston, who were the center of her world. She was also affectionately known as "Maw-Maw" to her six beloved grandchildren: Brianna Jett Bankston (BB), Benston Jacob Bankston (Ben), Bella Michele Bankston, Brooklyn Mae Bankston, Braxton Jarvis Bankston, and Easton Kane Smith. Her love for them was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her growing family.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Robert H. Milam, as well as her late husband, Muncie Jett Dye. Stella was also preceded in death by her parents, Annie Spry and Will David Sanford, along with several siblings. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will live on in her children and grandchildren.
Stella retired from Shaw Industries after many years of hard work. She found great joy in her gardening and quilting. Her hands crafted beautiful quilts, and her flowers and plants flourished under her tender care. Her heart was as beautiful as the blooms she nurtured, and she was always ready to offer a helping hand or a listening ear.
Stella was a woman of great faith, and though she will be deeply missed on this side of heaven, her family takes comfort in knowing that her spirit is at peace. "There are no words to describe how she will be missed," her family shared. "Until we see you again with the blessed hope we hold, your legacy will live on through us. We love you, Mama. We look forward to rejoicing in Heaven with you when our time comes."
