Stephanie Dempsey

Stephanie Michelle (Black) Dempsey passed away, February 25th, 2022, after complications following recent heart surgery.

She was born, July 26th, 1970, to the late Michael & Janet (Evans) Black. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents & sister Kimberly.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Kevin Dempsey, children Dustin (& Lyn) Wilson, Brittany Dempsey, & Asa Dempsey. Grandchildren Devin & Kaitlyn Wilson & Luna Sepulveda. Sister Melanie Black.

Stephanie was raised in Bartow County. Together with her military husband they raised their children in Virginia, Iceland, & Tennessee before settling back in Georgia for their retirement. She was a homemaker. Opening her home to the neighborhood children & earning her the nickname "Mama Deuce." Stephanie was a very compassionate person with a heart full of love. Ready to give it to any person or creature that needed an extra dose. She had a fondness for all things with fur, feathers, or scales. She had quite the menagerie of pets. Stephanie radiated joy & sassiness equally. She never met a stranger & the stranger the better. Even if you only met her once you would walk away with a smile on your face & a story to tell. Her laughter was heartfelt & infectious. She loved to laugh & lived to love. Her family was her most valued possession & all whom were privileged enough to feel her love knew they were treasured.

Her life may have been cut short, but her love will burn all the brighter in the hearts of those who loved her.
