Steve Henson

Mr. Steve Ray Henson, 65, of Cartersville died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Cobb County, September 8, 1948, he was the son of Mattie Doris Brown Henson and the late John Allen Henson. Mr. Henson was a devoted and loving family man. He enjoyed muscle cars, especially Chevy's, and going to car shows. Mr. Henson was employed by Matthews' Garage. He enjoyed spending time with his son and granddaughters more than anything else. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Wade Henson and his beloved sister-in-law, Lennis " Red" Henson.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Dana Stafford Henson of Cartersville; his mother, Doris Henson of Acworth; his son, Todd Allen Henson and his wife, Nicole of Cartersville; two brothers, Larry Henson of Acworth and Barry Henson of Cartersville; his granddaughters, Tatum Marie and Tinley Rae Henson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. ,Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Jimmy A. Garland officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Garland, John and Greg Henson, Marcus, Timothy and Micah Warren.
