Steven Lamar Cook, 69, died on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Floyd Medical Center.
Born on February 1, 1950 in Atlanta he was the son of the late Douglas Cook and the late Barbara Mills Cook.
Steve was a member of Creekside Fellowship Church and had been employed by Georgia Power until his retirement. He was a quiet man who had a talent for cooking and canning and enjoyed every minute of his time in the kitchen. Steve was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and had the ability to fix anything.
Survivors include his wife, Dennie Faye Green Cook; his sons, Michael Cook (Kellie); Ken Hughes (Ashley), Charlie Farmer (Shelly), and John Farmer (Beth); nine grandchildren; his sisters, Sharon Cook (James Mims), and Deborah Cook Casey (Ronald Wayne); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Creekside Fellowship Church, 585 Old Alabama Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120 with Pastor Michael Abernathy officiating.
