Rev. Stringer

March 23, 1942 — October 5, 2011

Rev. Winston Paul Stringer, 69, of Cartersville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 05, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1942 in Fish Creek, Georgia and was the son of the late James Thomas (Jim) Stringer and the late Margie Fuller Stringer. Preceding him in death along with his parents is a brother, Tony Stringer.

Rev. Stringer was a member of First Church of Cartersville and an ordained minister of the Congregational Methodist Faith for over 40 years. He was owner/operator of Canton Termite and Pest Control for 35 years.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Stringer of Cartersville; his siblings, Cheryle and Wayne Stone of Rockmart, Linda and Cliff Matson of Ohatchee, Alabama, Jimmy and Judy Stringer of Gay, Georgia and Eric and Joyce Stringer of Powder Springs; a multitude of nieces and nephews and of great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen Powell and Jack and Sandy Powell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the First Church of Cartersville with Rev. Nathan Sanders and Rev. Talmadge Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens

Serving as pallbearers will be Reuben Lowe, Tommy Stone, Eric Stringer, Jr., Jimmy Stringer, Jr., Joseph Stone and Trevor Blacksmith.

The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m., Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
